1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By downloading, installing, or using ASNSPY software and services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
ASNSPY is operated as a sole proprietorship doing business as ASNSPY ("we," "us," "our"), based in Tucson, Arizona.
2. LICENSE GRANTS
2.1 Open Source Version (ASNSPY OSS)
ASNSPY Open Source is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.1 (AGPL-3.0).
Key Terms:
- You may use, modify, and distribute the software
- If you run a modified version on a server, you must provide source code to users
- All derivative works must also be licensed under AGPL-3.0
- Commercial use is allowed but requires AGPL compliance

2.2 Enterprise Version (ASNSPY Enterprise)
ASNSPY Enterprise is available under a Commercial License:
Annual Subscription:
- Grants commercial use rights without AGPL obligations
- Includes technical support
- Includes software updates for subscription period
- License is non-transferable
License Grant: Subject to payment of applicable fees and compliance with these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use ASNSPY Enterprise for your organization's internal security operations.
3. ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
3.1 Permitted Uses
You may use ASNSPY for:
- Security assessment of networks you own or have explicit written authorization to test
- Bug bounty programs where you are an authorized participant
- Security research within legal boundaries
- Educational purposes in authorized lab environments
- Authorized penetration testing engagements
3.2 Prohibited Uses
You may NOT use ASNSPY for:
- Unauthorized access to computer systems or networks
- Denial of service attacks or similar malicious activity
- Scanning networks without explicit authorization
- Violating any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringing on intellectual property rights
- Distributing malware or conducting cyber attacks
- Violating privacy rights of individuals
3.3 Authorization Requirements
CRITICAL: Before scanning any network or system, you MUST obtain explicit written authorization from the network owner. Unauthorized scanning may violate:
- Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) - United States
- Computer Misuse Act - United Kingdom
- Similar laws in other jurisdictions
We are not responsible for your unauthorized use of the Service.
4. DATA SOURCES & ATTRIBUTIONS
ASNSPY uses multiple third-party data sources. You must comply with their respective terms and licenses when using ASNSPY.
4.1 MaxMind GeoLite2
Source: MaxMind GeoLite2-ASN Database
Purpose: IP-to-ASN mapping, cloud provider detection
License: Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0)

This product includes GeoLite2 data created by MaxMind,
available from https://www.maxmind.com
Commercial Use: Allowed with attribution
Your Obligation: If you distribute modified versions or outputs, you must include MaxMind attribution.
4.2 University of Oregon RouteViews Project
Source: RouteViews BGP RIB (Routing Information Base) Data
Purpose: ASN prefix enumeration, BGP route discovery
License: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)

Attribution Required:
BGP routing data from University of Oregon RouteViews Project
http://www.routeviews.org
Commercial Use: Allowed with attribution
Your Obligation: Include attribution when distributing data or outputs derived from RouteViews.
4.3 RADB & Internet Routing Registry (IRR)
Source: RADB and other IRR databases
Purpose: ASN prefix verification, routing policy data
License: Community resource (free access)
Access: WHOIS protocol via whois.radb.net
Attribution Required:
Routing policy data from RADB Internet Routing Registry

Commercial Use: Allowed
Your Obligation: Include attribution when distributing IRR-derived data.
4.4 National Vulnerability Database (NVD)
Source: NIST National Vulnerability Database
Purpose: CVE vulnerability information, CVSS scores
License: Public Domain (U.S. Government data)

Attribution Required:
This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.
Commercial Use: Allowed
Rate Limits: 5 requests per 30 seconds (without API key), 50 per 30 seconds (with free API key)
Your Obligation: Include attribution, respect rate limits, obtain free API key for commercial use.
4.5 Certificate Transparency Logs
Source: crt.sh (Sectigo public CT log search)
Purpose: Subdomain discovery, SSL/TLS certificate information
License: Free public service

Attribution Required:

Commercial Use: Allowed with respectful use
Your Obligation: Include attribution, respect rate limits, use responsibly.
4.6 WHOIS & DNS Protocols
Source: Standard Internet protocols
Purpose: Domain ownership, DNS records, contact information
License: Public protocols
Commercial Use: Allowed
Rate Limits: Vary by WHOIS server
Your Obligation: Respect rate limits, comply with WHOIS acceptable use policies.
5. FALLBACK DATA SOURCES
When primary data sources are unavailable, ASNSPY may use fallback services. Users should be aware of limitations:
5.1 Team Cymru DNS Service
- Purpose: IP-to-ASN mapping (fallback only)
- Source: origin.asn.cymru.com
- Limitation: No official rate limits, but abuse detection is active
- Warning: High-volume queries may trigger abuse flags
- Recommendation: Install MaxMind GeoLite2-ASN to avoid this fallback
5.2 IPinfo.io
- Purpose: Cloud provider detection (fallback only)
- Free Tier Limit: 50,000 requests per month
- License: CC BY-SA 4.0 (with attribution)
- Attribution Required: "IP data provided by IPinfo.io"
- Recommendation: Install MaxMind GeoLite2-ASN for unlimited queries
6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES & API INTEGRATIONS
ASNSPY provides integration capabilities with third-party services. Users are solely responsible for their use of these services.
6.1 User Responsibilities for Third-Party APIs
Users who configure third-party API integrations are responsible for:
- Obtaining appropriate licenses for all third-party services
- Ensuring commercial use compliance with third-party terms of service
- Providing their own API keys and credentials
- Paying any costs associated with third-party service usage
- Any liabilities arising from violations of third-party terms
- Reviewing and complying with each third-party service's legal terms
6.2 Vulners API Integration
ASNSPY supports integration with Vulners CVE vulnerability database:
- Service: https://vulners.com
- User Provides: API key
- Free Tier: 100 credits/month (may have commercial use restrictions)
- Commercial Plans: Start at 475/month
- User Responsibility: Users must ensure their Vulners API key is properly licensed for their use case
IMPORTANT: Using free-tier or personal API keys in commercial environments may violate Vulners' terms of service. We are not responsible for users' violations of third-party terms.
6.3 Other User-Configured Integrations
Users may configure:
- Webhooks: Custom HTTP endpoints (user-configured, user responsible for endpoint legality)
- Database Exports: PostgreSQL, MySQL (user provides credentials)
- SIEM Integrations: Splunk, QRadar, etc. (user must have valid licenses)
- Custom APIs: Any user-configured API endpoints
Disclaimer: ASNSPY provides integration capabilities only. We do not provide, endorse, or guarantee third-party services. We assume no liability for users' third-party service usage.
7. NO WARRANTIES
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy of data
- Reliability or availability
- Security vulnerabilities in target systems
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Lost profits or revenue
- Data loss
- Legal costs or penalties
- Damage to reputation
- Unauthorized access to third-party systems
- Violations of applicable laws
Maximum Liability: Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for ASNSPY Enterprise subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim. For open-source users, our liability is limited to $100 USD.
9. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ASNSPY, its proprietor, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of applicable laws or regulations
- Unauthorized scanning or access to computer systems
- Your violation of third-party rights
- Your violation of third-party service terms (including API providers)
10. EXPORT COMPLIANCE
ASNSPY may be subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations. You agree to comply with all applicable export laws and regulations.
You represent and warrant that you are not:
- Located in a country subject to U.S. embargo
- Listed on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties
- Using the Service for purposes prohibited by U.S. law
11. PRIVACY & DATA COLLECTION
11.1 What We Collect
- License Information: Name, email, organization (for Enterprise customers)
- Usage Analytics: Anonymized feature usage data (if opted in)
- Support Requests: Information you provide when contacting support
11.2 What We Don't Collect
- Scan Targets: We do not collect information about systems you scan
- Scan Results: We do not collect vulnerability data or reconnaissance results
- API Keys: We do not collect or store your third-party API credentials
11.3 Data Processing
All data processing is performed locally on your systems. ASNSPY does not transmit scan results or target information to our servers.

12. TERMINATION
12.1 Termination by You
You may stop using the Service at any time. For Enterprise licenses, cancellation policies are specified in your subscription agreement.
12.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:
- You violate these Terms
- You engage in illegal activities
- You use the Service to harm others
- Your payment fails (for Enterprise customers)
12.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your license to use the Service ends immediately
- You must cease all use of the Service
- No refunds will be provided except as required by law
- Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive will survive
13. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to https://www.asnspy.com/legal/terms.
Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
For material changes affecting paid subscriptions, we will provide 30 days' notice via email.
14. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTE RESOLUTION
14.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
14.2 Jurisdiction
Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Pima County, Arizona.
14.3 Dispute Resolution
Before filing any claim, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good faith negotiation for 30 days.
15. MISCELLANEOUS
15.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and ASNSPY regarding the Service.
15.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
15.3 Waiver
Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
15.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms to any affiliate or successor.
